Merkel welcomes EU-Turkey meeting to improve ties

SOFIA (Reuters) - Germany's Angela Merkel welcomed on Saturday a Bulgarian plan to host a European Union-Turkey working meeting to try to improve strained ties and clear the ground for an eventual possible summit.
